Water is important for life

Water is found in the body of every living being, and it is considered one of the most important necessities of life, and it is the second human need in life.

The importance of water in the enviroment

Because the first of these is the oxygen that we inhale while breathing, just as water is the best liquid we drink because it is compatible with all circumstances and environments.

The importance of water for our bodies

Water is an important component of tissues and is necessary to perform their functions. In every cell of a plant or animal, we find a certain amount of water, and the life of these cells depends on the presence of this liquid so that if they are completely dried and all their water is taken away, life is lost. That is, living protoplasm must be constantly in a moist medium.

Benefis of water

The life of the cell depends not only on the presence of water but on its renewal as well.

There is a continuous cycle of water in the body of the plant.

Water is lost from the leaves by the processes of evaporation and transpiration, and another amount of it is absorbed by the root hairs from the soil.

The animal loses a quantity of water every day through external secretions such as urine and sweat and in the exhaled air, and replaces it with an amount of water that it drinks or in some form within its food.

Experiments have proven that the bean protoplasm derives all its nourishment from the compounds dissolved in the aqueous solutions in which it is immersed, and it also derives the oxygen necessary for its life from the water.

It has also been proven that the protoplasm of living cells in plants and animals gets rid of damaged residues resulting from the processes of oxidation, demolition, and assimilation with the surrounding water as well.

That is, water is the only medium in which all living forces in the body occur and are transmitted.

Life does not last long if water is prevented from the body, losing 35-40% of the water without compensation leads to death, while life continues if water is given and the rest of the nutrients are prevented, as life can continue for several weeks even after losing all body fat and nearly 50% of its proteins.
